Hi all,

today Marklin declared themselves bankrupt. It's the first day of the Nuremberg Toy Fair and one of the biggest manufacturers had to close his booth there.

Marklin is the oldest manufacturer of model trains in the world, celebrating their 150th anniversary in 2009. The future is uncertain, but I believe that the name of this traqditional brand will not vanish.

Isn't this Marklin's second bankrupcy in past few years?
I seem to remember that the company was sold by the Marklin family because the family members bled the company almost dry.
I hope the name will still continue, and that the quality will not be lost.
