Hello All, Maybe someone here can elaborate on my finds today. They seemed to have some collectibility, and although I didn't need these specific pieces, I thought I might sell them here if there's any interest. If not, they're still pretty neat! First is a Tyco PT CN/Via like new, next is an Athearn UP GP-30 dummy--but I know the shell will fit on a common GP-35 frame. Finally is a Marx SP gondola, with a load that says "Machinery for the Lionel Corporation, Irvington NJ." I'd especially like to know more about it.

Hi Adams
Well if you say the gondola is Marx...I have to take your word for it... but the load is a trimmed down version of this...

This car is the Cop and Hobo car were the figures chase each other around the load,it is powered by a vibromotor and the figures are attached to a loop of 16 mm film.
Lionel made or had made for them HO representations of almost every car in there O gauge line.
You car is HO so they just used a section of the load sans figures
Is the load removable ?
Maybe some one switched from a Lionel car to a Marx

Ken, Got your request. Taycotrains--very interesting--It does appear to be the same load, except mine is finished on both ends and fitted for this gondola. It is removable. They must have started with the same mold, but made some modifications.

| Lionel made that piece as a load for their own 40' gondola. A lot of accessory pieces got adapted back and forth from their O/O27 line to their HO line, some directly, some with modifications as needed.
