Hi all. I recently dug out all my old Tyco HO trains from the 80's for my son to play with. I have a 638 Chattanooga Choo Choo that is his favorite. However, the drive wheels in the tender seem to be worn and the train doesn't move well. Electric motors seem to work fine, the drive wheels just seem really worn. Where can I find replacement drive wheels or drive truck for this locomotive. It's from approximately 1980. I also need the "bell ?" plug for the smoke solution fill hole. Any ideas? I have quite a bit of these old trains, Silver Streak, Illinios Central Gulf, etc... boxes of the stuff! Hope he likes trains... feel free to email me directly... phoupe@charter.net
THANK YOU!

OK guys. really looking for suggestions here. only thing i can think of is to purchase some small rubber o-rings and try to place them over the drive wheels to increase their diameter and provide more friction. here is a pic of the train and the drive wheels in question.

80'sTyco, there's a sticky in the Tyco Motive Power section with info on traction tires.

http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=1

They are made by a company called Calumet and will fit the tender drive. You may have to scrape some of the old tires out beforehand if they've deteriorated. I can't tell from the photo whether they're just hardened or rotted.
