All my MOW is gray with red accents and Engine black roofs...why?...because I could not afford any new paint at the time. I had plenty of Floquil UP Gray and so went with that. I'm too committed to change now. Had I the coin, I'd have painted all my MOW Amtrak "Pumpkin" orange...it's just too cool.

Most heavyweight cars were a form of "Pullman" green during service, and had even less-exciting liveries when entering M of W duty. The MoW color I like most, used by a couple of roads, was a kind of turquoise green. Some railroads painted their heavyweights to match streamlined equipment when in passenger service, like the MKT, which painted cars silver and red to match trains like the Texas Special. They even sprayed on black "fluting" to simulate corrugated stainless steel.

Kinda like what shaygetz mentioned, what little MoW equipment my local railyard has is painted bright orange.

Not the most exciting or original, this is just what's around here.

The only MoW equipment model I have is a wrecking crane, which I left plain black, but painted red window panes on.
