...to newly acquired property that will hopefully someday become the home of the new East Frankfort Shops.
Yes... today... in the middle of the global finance meltdown, virtually on the eve of a seeming pending new great depression... we closed on the purchase of our first house.
So now with keys in hand and debt on file, the circus moves from one side of town to the other!
So I'm gonna be in and out for a while. Might not even get to do anything train-related before the end of the year. But it should be worth it in the long run.
Those of you who had or need my address may email me for the new one.
In the meantime, we shall see just how "portable" the exisiting layout really is...

send us a pic' of the half of the house you get to put your trains in. Post them here.
Congrat's! Now, it's called "Home".
...oh, are you any closer to a railroad?
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

Congratulations Tony to you, your wife and kids on the home purchase!
The economy may seem poor now, but you are probably buying at a very good time with real estate values depressed.

Well the layout made the move, pretty much intact, with no apparent damage beyond the "inevitable" and planned/expected breakage of scenery seams where pieces were removed. Was very interesting trying to get it down the stairs in the new place. Hopefully I will be able to rebuild it (bechwork-wise) this weekend.
