I have spent the last week putting together some of my opened Tyco-Kits When tonight I decided to open my last station building. I had a knife in my hand when I looked up my "Old Time Station" on the web site, when I noticed The picture used was from a E-Bay auction and It is the same BOX I HAVE! it has the $9.99 orange price tag and the small slit in the plastic in the middle THE SAME BOX! So know I feel funny about opening it...How rare is it?

I have only seen a few listed on ebay in the blue border. I would say rare in the blue border as this is what IHC sold them in when Tyco exited trains in 1993. The kit itself is not rare as they are listed frequently on ebay in brown box. IHC kept the same stock numbers though.

I have quite a few kits with the blue border ( Tyco ) and from what robert ( TheOldReliable ) was telling me the kits with the blue borders were actually made by IHC but IHC didnt have the printing swapped over to show it being marketed under thier name. I think thats right. Chime in here Robert so we have the correct info.

If you look at the back of the box with the blue border it will show all the kits offered for that box desighn. There were 12 I belive but as Brian was saying they dont show up offten. The most common one is the ASPEN station and the Sams car lot.

I think I have one of those, although it is missing the scaffolding. I was kinda wondering who made it.

They were put out by several diffrent manufacturers. Tyco , AHM , and Life-Like just to name a few. The AHM and TYCO`s were the most common.
