Ken, Consider it confirmed. That's the Casey Jones loco.

Uh, that is ONE of the locomotives Casey Jones controlled. He did die in this locomotive as did the next three engineers after each time they rebuilt it. Casey also was an engineer on the GM&O Cannonball. #382 also had a Calliope whistle, of which he was recognized "...and they knew by the whistle moan, that the man at the throttle was Casey Jones..."

This is "The Official" web page that explains the whole story. This locomotive and an imposter photo is included. Casey Jones was never photographed in this locomotive, the 382. The other locomotive he was really photographed was # 638... anyway, you check out the link yourself.
Happy reading!
John
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

That's a nice one Ken. I have been tinkering with one that Mike sent me for awhile. I have been having a hard time finding parts for it. I had to repair some of the drivers (do not try that at home) as I couldn't find reasonable replacements. I still need to find a tender truck and fix the pilot.
