I'm gonna try and resauder some wires in a tyco passenger car back to the lightbulb. The original wires are not quite long enough so I'm going to need to add somemore wire. I've got 22 guage wire...will this work?

I don't know the comparison off hand, but if I'm picturing it correctly 22 gauge should be OK. I think I used 18 on my feeder wires, and those are quite a bit bigger than what comes with most set powerpacks.
To be on the safe size, I wouldn't use wire that's much smaller than what's in there. While HO trains don't use enough current to normally be risky, forcing the standard amount of current through a small wire can cause problems.
But like I said, the feeder wires from set power packs and PT motors ans such are pretty small too. So 22ga wire for a little bulb *should* be fine... if others know more then by all means feel free to correct me.

Well it's just a passenger car so I doubt there is alot of power goin through those wires. BTW the wires in the car look smaller than the wires I have so i doubt they will overload or anything...
