This is good stuff. The bottle claims it cleans and lubricates dirty motor commutators and brushes. That it does. I squirted it on the electrical conducting axel points, and commutator which were dirty and oily on a sluggish Tyco diesel. The commutator took about three baths along with a few laps of running to wash and rinse clean. Now the engine runs like a bat out of hell with practically zero hesitation. It runs quieter too I should add. I wasn't sure if this was some temporary fix film but it's been about a week now and the engine is still running strong. John Long

JL, Sounds like good stuff good. Where did you pick up this Atlas Conducta Lube-Cleaner? Did you have to tear the engine down to apply?
Thanks for the tip.

I got it at Hobbytown about a year ago but I've seen it in just about every model railroad store. It often comes in a kit with grease and light oil. No, I did not tear the engine down as the motor frame is riveted. But it would be a good idea as I used twice as much cleaner with the engine together. The bottle has a needle applicator and it wasn't difficult to sneak it to the armature. John Long
