Hi Guys:

Just out of curiosity;

If a fire were to force you to run out of the house and you had time to grab an HO locomotive in each hand... (obviously there are more valuable things to grab but lets stay on theme)

What would they be and maybe why? Has to be something currently in your collection!

I'm gonna ponder this myself now! [:D] [:D] [:D]

OK, ready????

FIRE, FIRE, FIRE......

My Mint in box Silver Streak with no finger prints on it ever. It came with a clear plastic bag sleeve--original from Tyco?? The other hand would be my 1776 Presidential lettered seal loco--mint in box[:D]

The 2 things I would take... The first thing would be my President's Choice CPR Pacific Steam Engine. The second would be my Tyco Canadiana C430.

Well Mike:

This was a hypothetical excercise to pose the question; "what are your two favourite locomotives?"

To take it as seriously as you have, would be equivalent to me saying, what a waste of time fire insurance is on a house thats likely to be foreclosed on or more important; all the people going hungry in the world!

See this was to get a conversation going about our favourites thats all. I can think of several things far more serious to get up on a soap box about but this is the TCF not a Socratic Debating Society.

Anyway guys, back to our regularly scheduled posting, what are your two favourite locomotives?

Pax,
Gareth

On a lighter note, I think if all my stuff burns, it will likely be due to me setting the fire myself. I burned off my eyebrows working on the furnace once. Just like a cartoon! True story. [Oops!]

OK
I have 2 hands so this is what I would grab....

This because it has a handle and I could save my better stuff
by just carrying it out.[^]

and this...

Not HO but I would walk through a "wall of flames" to get this engine out safely.

Not exactly a Atlas model but 23 years ago there was not much to choose from.

Thats a old PW 623 that a guy in the next town custom painted.
He actually did six of them numbered 1 thru 6.

Hi All,

I would have to say it would be my Mantua/Tyco f9 Santa Fe freight scheme and my Mantua /Tyco GP20 Santa Fe freight scheme. I love the paint on those.

I would take only two-score of my locomotives... two-score = 60
[Yes!]

thinking outside the box...

John

I'm so smrt! [:D]

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
