Hello All--Today, I traded some Tyco/Mantua items at my local shop for these 2 British coaches. Could use some help with the details...more info. on the prototypes (car style, use, era, etc.), and the models (when made, etc.). The boxed car is Triang/Hornby, made in Britain. It is labeled as 2nd class Inter-City. It actually is equipped with interior lighting--the first British coach I've bought that has lighting. The second car I know is a Teak LNER car that would have been seen on the Flying Scotsman. It is labeled for Triang, Built in Britain. However, it has no interior, and I'm not sure what type of car it is--it has two doors on each car side, and the other side, not pictured, has the same window arrangement, except ALL windows have the ventilators. CFK, are you out there?! Thanks, Chris.

| What is the floorplan of the Teak car? Is it a corridor coach? Class?

| Thanks! It's confusing to me, because first, it has no interior, and second, it has doors on the car sides. As far as the Mk.2 is concerned, I can now join this one with my Lima Mk.2 corridor coach (awaiting trucks), and a Parcels Express car, to complete a more-modern consist. I only have steam at the moment, so I guess it will be a 'preservation' train--as the British layout develops, I'll move toward having a consistent theme. Right now, I'm just enjoying several facets of British railroading, kind of like the way a lot of us approach our Tyco trains.

Hi all,
always thought the mk2 had no central door. Also the bogies (trucks) seem to be more like something else than a mk2. But couldn´t find out what "something else" is.

| The boxed, blue/gray car is labeled Mk.2, second class. The interior shows pairs of chairs facing each other, with small tables in between. I'd be glad to know if there is anything unprototypical about that, but I was mostly wondering about the Teak car's layout. The widows on the other side all have the top ventilators, and all have a horizontal white stripe running across them. I assumed that might represent an interior railing, like might be found in a corridor. But I'm very confused at the present moment! Chris
