Ken that's a shell for a Marx Commodore Vanderbilt.
Made mostly before WW2,and a few years after.

hi thanks choochin3 and Adams,got it cheap,no clockwork parts but it will sit on shelves till i get chance to do something with it ken

Ken,
I just noticed that your engine has the swing peg coupler.
That might indicate early production,around 1936-38.
I'll check with a reliable source,and get back with you with the correct answer.

My reliable source says that the swing peg coupler was used in 1935 only.
