Is there interest in such a topic? For some time now as I've been rebuilding scrap PTs and making them run again, I'd been turning over a script in my head.
This wouldn't be a FrankenTorquing guide a-la Ray's monsters. But more of a tear-down and re-pair guide for stock PTs that need work. Step by step with photos and explanation. Might turn out to be a work in progress.
Before I invest any actual time in this I'd like to make sure if enough people are interested, and if there are any specific aspects you'd like to see...

| G-I-C -- I think it is a great idea--just remember to add a disclaimer. I have done the rebuilds myself as you have mentioned. One thing most would be interested in would be removal of the brushes and springs and re installing them w/o loosing them. Bring it own!!![:D]

I think it's a great idea. I wanted to do something like that but can't find the time. It would be very helpful for anyone trying to get their PT running.

Sounds good to me. There's no real guide anywhere on the net explaining how to repair PTs step-by-step, so I think this would help alot of people.

Well I threw a drafted script outline together, and it will be a lot to cover but I think I can pull it off.
Getting pictures will be the hard part! For some reason my bench shots never turn out that well compared to others. And my new SLR camera doesn't have a good indoor lens so I'll probably have to revert to the old one which was getting really grainy, but we'll see where it goes...

I can at least try to help you with pics. I like taking shots while you are working.
That means cooperation by our other two, though, huh.
