This was a Christmas present from my mom in 1985. It is battle scared but still runs. It is missing the front step plate and side railings on loco and bell which is where the smoke fluid is added just like the Tyco 2-8-0's. The damaged occured while i was running throttle wide open--smoke pouring out-- on Tru-Steel track in a curve which seperated from not being nailed down. The loco nose dived into the concrete floor from a height of 4ft. I cringed.

Ouch. That looks bad. Are you gonna try and fix it?
I had an engine do that when I was 8. My brand new Athearn CN F-7 was crossing my duplo bridge (which was only about an inch high, but right next to the edge of the 4 foot high table). Unfortunately, one of the duplos was out of place, and the track leaned sideways under the engines weight. It's fall was broken by a wooden stool about 2 feet down[B)] It bounced off that and continued on its way...fortunately it fell off the side which was carpeted. Luckily the only damage was a broken horn. I finally ordered some Athearn horns last week...7 years after the accident. Well, better late than never.[:D]

| With some DAP PlasticWood Cellulose Fibre Filler, a small section of sand paper, and some touch up paint, you may be able to fill in that damage in the boiler. Just put some teflon tape around the boiler cover, so you can keep it in place while you fill in the damage...that way you can still remove the cover if you ever have to replace the bulb.

Just set a sensible maximum bid, and you'll win one. I've never used Bid Assistant, but that might help, too.

1 + 1... duck tape and bondo!
Imagine the quick putty filler and front boiler shine of miracle tape!
okay, perhaps 3 parts prayer.
John
p.s. does it still run?
I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out. "I love your catenary!" Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?

CairnTerrier--Thanks for the repair tip--hadn't thought about using materials you mentioned
Roy-- Appreciate your tip--I did place what i though was a one time high bid and the person kept on bidding. With time and patience there will be more listed one day.
Zebrails-- Yes--It still runs after that plunge many years ago-I am 36 and it happened when i was 13[B)]
