Hey guys,

I thought since I was still new and trying to participate more in the forums I had better introduce myself a little. I'm 37 yrs or so and I had a tyco set when I was a kid and now that my kids were old enough to play with them, I decided to get them a set to play with. I am the kind of guy who just let's to buy cheap broken stuff and fix'em up. So, I amassed a large inventory of tycos and etc to repair and I ended up chatching to HO bug. Since the first of December I have created my first layout acquiring skill as I went and I'm happy so far to have repaired about 13 locos and fininshed laying the track. It's not like it should be, but it's the first. If I knew then what I know now..lol anyway, a double tunnel at one end with a mountain above, or so that was the theory.

You can see all the pics

Thanks,

Looks like your on your way to alot of fun.
I notice in your roster of locomotives a GP18 (the Union Pacific without a cab roof). Parts from it will interchange with the F9 you are working on. (if you wanted to part it out that is)

That's good info Ray,

What I was thinking of trying, was to fabricate one from scratch. I guess I'm a little selfish and trying to repair all of them without salvaging any. [:D] Since I just got started I would hate to ruin a perfectly good loco...[:)]

I'm starting an overhual on the USA Express this morning. I've rebuilt the motor and added a light to the rear, I'm painting the inside of the shell to reduce light bleed through. I've been taking pictures to share if anyone is interested.

Thanks,
pid
