$12.50 to ship in the US?!?!?!?!?! And noticed that there is no mention of mode other then via USPS. Is that priority? Parcel post? 3rd class?

I'm sorry, but I just got a box via international express mail from Japan. That took 5 days to reach me, including the 1 and 1/2 days in customs. And the total shipping cost was $15.00!!!

I don't think that chunk o'brass is THAT heavy, or large.

I believe the prototype exists in a railroad museum in Delson, Quebec. As to the price the seller expects for the model: Lotsa Luck!

hey guys:

I just sent two Tyco C-430 to Brian (Brianstyco) and the cost for air mail was $13.57 Canadian.

It can get pretty silly... It's why your basic train show is superior in many ways...

I can relate to the shipping costs, I do a lot of it. I offered the SF GP-20 to the list for $10.00 shipped and I sent one out that cost me 6.50 to ship. I sold the engine for $3.50. I had to pull the offer as it was a loosing proposition. Packages based on weight and distance......
Yeah, I like train shows a lot better.......

Cool, I remember when they were issued in the late 70s/early 80s.

I Ebay all the time and have never had to charge more than $5.50 to ship one loco...and that is Priority Mail.

Hey Gareth. Those things really do exist. They've got one at Exporail, a railway museum near Montreal. I saw it a couple years ago. It's pretty cool.

I searched through a bunch of old CDs of pics I had, but couldn't find any I took at exporail. Here's a pic I found on google:
