Hi, Recently whilst rooting around in the loft I stumbled across this set which is in excellent condition. Included is: 1 x Cardboard Action Mat measuring 52.5" x 41" approx (4.5ft by 3.5ft) 14 x Pieces of complete oval track measuring 36" x 45" approx 24 x Complete figures (6 silver Autobots and 18 blue Decepticons) 1 x Power pack (without plug) 2 x Instruction booklets 1 x Locomotive/Search Mode 1 x Caboose/Hawkfighter 1 x Gondola/Proton Laser Cannon 1 x Box Car/Weapon Centre 2 x Cardboard Towers 1 x Cardboard Tower Top 2 x Cardboard Chimney Desert Power Station Base 1 x Cardboard clipping of original box cover
Missing is: 1 x Cardboard Desert Power Station 1 x Cardboard Desert Power Station Roof 1 x Cardbard Tower Top 1 x Cardboard Small Chimney 1 x Cardboard Large Chimney 1 x Cardboard Wall
I was wondering what this might be worth if I sell it (for example on ebay). I've heard that in the past the Locomotive on it's own went for quite a sum. I have included some pics of what I have. Any comments greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. One of the unfortunate side effects of the Lionel price surges in the 80s was that it gave folks the impression that everything old in model trains has gained in value over the years. HO scale trains, especially Tyco, were made in such quantities that few pieces have any value that one could bank on.
That's not to say there are not pieces out there worth a few dollars---the McGinnis New Haven paint scheme on a Tyco GG1 can fetch $60-75 on a model that sold for $12.99 in 1982---but you can see that even that is nothing to rest your retirement fund on. That the set you have is incomplete takes that much more from its value.
