This driver does not need a CDL. I have had my CDL's(Commercial Drivers License) for years w/o accident. All Tanker trucks and hazardous material haulers in the USA are required by federal law to stop at all RR crossings. This accident was an hrs drive from where i live. The NS RR is a busy mainline as it is a splitting point for trains going west to the mtns of NC into Tennessee and train trafffic to Charlotte NC. Salisbury has a history of bad train collisions. My cousin was killed in DEC of 94 in Salisbury by a NS train. The engineer failed to blow horn on approach to crossing-No lights/ gates. The setting sun of the evening was a factor also. The crossing he was killed at is now closed. He was the 5th fatality within a 3 yr span that year. The crossing was closed shortly after his death. His accident was breaking news which i wish no one has to find out of a relative that way which is the way i found out as it was broadcasted live
