Hello
Would anyone have info on a '70s TYCO promotional train set made for Westinghouse? Looking for stock number and contents. Believe it included a white 50' Plug Door Box Car lettering in blue for Westinghouse. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks [;)]

Hi Tony, I have a Westinghouse plug door box car. It is white with purple lettering, roof and ends. The lettering says Westinghouse major appliances on the left and the Westinghouse logo on the right.
I also have a Westinghouse center cab Plymouth. Not sure if that is part of a set or sold separately.

I received one of these sets as a kid for Christmas. This would have been around the 1974-'76 time frame. If I recall correctly, the set came with a Santa Fe "F" unit (red and silver), the Westinghouse boxcar you mentioned, a Boston & Maine hopper (blue with white lettering), a green flatcar with the three tractors, an Arco tank car, and a Santa Fe streamlined caboose. As I recall, the tractors on the flat were orange, silver, and red. I remember my Dad had it set up on a 4x8 piece of plywood, and the set came with a graduated trestle set (NOT an "over and under" set) with a small gray or silver trestle/bridge. I still have the tank car around here somewhere, and I may even have the boxcar. Unfortunately, I painted the boxcar solid blue at some point in my childhood. Figures - this set will probably be worth something, someday. [V]
If anybody has pictures of this complete set, I'd love to see it again. Those were happy days...
Regards, Clint

Here's the only photo I have of the Westinghouse car at the moment.

Tycoholics: I'd shelved this forum item in the back of my brain and forgotten it 'til this morning. Did any Forum members notice, bid on, or perhaps buy the boxed Westinghouse Promo set on eBay last week? I made a weak bid (brown box Tyco really isn't my thing) and then forgot the thing. It's contents were as represented in the previous e-mail: generic SF F-diesel, rather generic cars with the exception of the Westinghouse Box. The master box, clearly identifying said "Westinghouse" promotional set, was--I suppose--the most interesting part. Magnolia Academy

the number on my box is 7519 but it's hand written on a white sticker. i know it's from the manufacturer though because it's under the cellophane.
