I know GIC spoke about this caboose being real tough to find. Here is the prototype and typical of many of TYCO's pre-production mockups, it is only hand painted on one side. check out the back -Bob

Ha! That looks about as crude as some of my own early attempts at custom work. The lettering is nowhere close but I supposed they were testing layout and size.

Any idea what was stuck under the cupola? I see sticker residue, but the "production" or "finished" example has a decal:
