Been a while since Ive visited(been busy on a layout).I have 3 diecast sharks,2 A units and a B.All are non runners now due to strpped gears and weak magnets(I assume weakness is due to me disassembling one, only to find out later, never remove the armature as this is part of the magnetic field created at time of manufacture. All armatures seem to be in good shape as well as bearings.Have discovered a difference in gear ratios on the B motor.Thse are all original and would like to keep them that way if possible.Does anyone have any ideas or solution other than buying(at steep prices)more of the same? Thanks

I know its gonna be rubbing salt into the wounds but a few weeks back several ebay lots of diecast shark motor trucks and spare parts were offered for auction. They went pretty reasonably--particularly if you were in repair mode. Teeth grinding, eh? (No, sorry, I didn't bid.)
I'd recommend checking internet auctions for same and also try Yardbird Trains (there may be a link posted, otherwise google-em.)
They carry stuff for many vintage American Ho trains from English to Mantua and I recommend them highly. (I get my English/Hobbyline bits and pieces from them.)
