but I was wondering if Bachmann actually made it
if yes I WANT ONE!

Yes, indeed Bachmann did make it. I've seen multiple over the years online & at train shows.

They seem to be way more rare than the other split chassis 4-8-4's. Last time I saw one in person (and checked the price) the seller wanted $60. They seem to go for around $70-75 now, and upwards of $125 with a box!

As for the Tyco one you want, is this the one?

saw another I want that Lionel made in HO & apparently it was sent to them for WW2 cause of a loco shortage

Since Bachmann made the 4-8-4 for Lionel, Bachmann did later release it under their own name. The Western Pacific one is way more common, but will still go for around the same price as the Chessie version.
