Merry Christmas, everyone!
When I found out that small locomotives and rolling stock could make it around this tight little circle, I decided that an HO train would look pretty well proportioned under a miniature Christmas tree.
A couple of Rivarossi Docksides head up the train. Their motors draw few amps, so a double headed pair of them will balance off the resistance in a rheostat throttle batter than just one locomotive.
The cars are all short, because the trucks don't have to swivel as much and the couplers line up better with short cars on this tight curve.
That ore car is filled with a poor grade of topaz crystals. Topaz is a faceted gem, and it sparkles as it moves under Christmas tree lights. Years ago, a friend of mine who is a rockhound took me out topaz mining in western Utah. I found a few gem-quality crystals, and a whole handful of inferior ones. The inferior ones are plenty good for an ore car load.
The flatcar is described in my COTW.
The caboose is pieced together from a bobber caboose body and the shortened chassis from a 4-axle caboose, both of them Tyco. They came in an assorted bag of parts I got cheap at the local hobby shop.
Carpe Manana!

well yeah when that loco 1st came out it was demonstrated on a tight circle on a hat brim! think that was Varney who did that |
also a few 4 wheel Bobber Cabooses were converted to have 2 trucks on them later on & some looked pretty odd too

Merry Christmas!
The little track and train look good! That's 6" radius? Looks like a nice even circle.
Years ago I made this little board to fit under a mini-tree back in our apartment. I think the curves were about 9" radius.

9" radius seems to be a good one for streetcars. Is that a Bachmann PCC? If so, how well did it track on those 9" curves? I ask because Bachmann recommends 15" for this car, but that is the sharpest EZ track offered so they don't make anything sharper. Fast Tracks makes jigs, though, to make your own 9" radius curves, switches and crossings. Also, Can this car be set up to draw power off the trolley pole like Bachmann's Peter Witt cars?

9" has been the gold standard for me. My old layout had 6" radius curves, but some of the streetcars couldn't make that.
The PCC is a diecast Pennsylvania Scale Models car, later sold by Bowser. It will take power off live overhead, but I don't know if the Bachmann version can.

Christmas should be every day of the year. Not just for one day.
