Hey Fellas:

Been looking to get a deal on one of these for a while. It is in just great condition, and runs superb and silent. These are inceredibly handsome units and deserve better power trains but then it wouldn't be original! Anyone else got one of these!? If so post em up.

It represents a reversal of a kind since I'm pairing down my collection of stuff towards a Metal centric Hobbytown, Varney and the like. I did buy a small batch of Roco powered mid-70's Atlas units recently: GP38HH (CNR & SF), SD24 (UP), and FP-7 (CPR) but mostly I'm headed for 55-65 with a broad fringe up to `75. I'll be posting some stuff on the Trading block this week.

Best,
G.

I've one of those 1976 Presidential Loco's... but two things:

1. It's in Minnesota, I'm in western Canada.

2. Since the drive burned out, I have the shell on an Athearn U30C and it ran like a bat outta Meatloaf. [:D]

John

I don't have a one track mind. It depends on the turn-out.
"I love your catenary!"
Is that a power-trip or just another pick-up line?
