At Hamburg with a fellow member here Richy. Richy. Meet him in Jersey City and we drove out together. We stopped off for breakfast at the Clinton Diner. It is the diner just off of route 78. It is the diner with a Jersey Central Observation car That car was used on the Blue Comet Atlantic City train. After some pancakes and coffee it was on to Hamburg.
The finds for me were the HObbyline train set called the Hot Shot. Got it in its original box which is not exactly pristine. A power kit for a HObbyline Berkshire plastic model kit.
The Gilbert Wabash Hudson loco and a few vintage reefers. A Tyco 1776 super 620. A HObbyline Baltimore and Ohio H12-44 in need of some repairs and a repainting. Frank

About 120 miles each way from New York City. He drove from New Jersey which is about 110 miles each way. I took the train between New York City and New Jersey to cover the 10 miles.

My photos yesterday traveling from Hoboken New Jersey to Hamburg Pennsylvania.
My trip started from Queens New York to Hoboken New Jersey early in the morning. I woke up at 3 am and took the Long Island Railroad train to New York City. Took a PATH subway train to Hoboken New Jersey. Took a NJ Transit light rail train to Liberty Park New Jersey. Met Frank there and he drove us to the train show from Liberty State Park light rail train station. We stopped at a diner in Clinton New Jersey.
He had breakfast but I abstained. I was not hungry. I was still tired from getting up so early.

Only photo of the show I took. Was very tired so I forgot to take interior pics of the show. Afterwards we left and passed the cemetery and church to South Hamburg Pennsylvania.
South Hamburg Pennsylvania train station. I remember visiting here when the Blue Mountain and Reading Railroad ran excursions.
After leaving Hamburg Pennsylvania we headed east back to New Jersey. Before leaving Pennsylvania we went to see Frank's buddy in Allentown Pennsylvania.
To look at his friend's wonderful HO scale layout in his house. Photos in another thread. Afterwards we headed to New Jersey.
Photo above is at the Delaware River Water Gap section near New Jersey. After over an hour we reached Frank's house. He invited me to see his own HO layout in his house. He is fixing his layout so I did not take photos.
Then I thanked Frank and I returned to Queens New York. Many thanks Frank for a wonderful day with you.

There were 8 boxed HObbyline cars and 2 others unboxed besides those in the set. The 2 Gilbert C&O cabooses have different numbers and one is lighted. The Mantua General is a US Military one with a smoke unit. It is missing just the front pilot and in need of a repainting of the cobalt blue areas. I will use it to pull my Gilbert 2 passenger cars lettered for the F.Y. of P. R.R. I do not think I will ever find the Gilbert Franklin General. The 4-4-2 shown on the box is a new model by HO Train CO. Both it and the U-25B I think I can get running. The Christmas trees will come in handy on my mountain side. Now if I only had another 2,000 of them. The RIvarossi U-25B in Reading will definitely get use on my tracks.
Here is what the HOTCO 4-4-2 looks like. I need to connect the value gear on the side seen and the wire to the tender. The only casting with a problem is the tender floor.
