Can anyone identify the manufacturer and/or the dates of manufacture of this item? Saw it at a train show and purchased it because it intrigued me.









Let me know if there is a problem of the photos download time. Still experimenting with photography and file size.

WOw that is old. Are those printed paper car sides? If so it's probably from the 1940s before injection molded plastic became available.

Excellent! I never thought of it being a Red Ball product. I knew that the Hanrahan reefer was built for the Santa Fe around 1895, but the only model I could find was a Labelle kit, which looks like the photo that WKS found.

I see it is kit #107 in the 9th edition of the Red Ball catalog, but I don't see when that catalog was released. Does anyone know the copyright date?

Thanks for all the input. I follow up on all leads and guesses. These wood kits from yesteryear are hard to identify.
