ADDED 10-11-07. here is another wreck that happened 1/8th of a mile from the one above. Truck crashes through barrier into a roll back truck killing driver. Then roadraged motorist open fire on each other. Charlotte NC is not safe to drive on. This is the 2nd fatality wreck this week. The the other dark meathead Earnhardt Jr. wannabe got what she deserved. Darwinism at work - take a dinky Chevy Cobalt and stunt-drive three-digits on an exit ramp? Dumbass. I feel bad for the people in the pickup. No warning whatsoever when an airborne asshat just drops right in front of you.
I'm sorry, I would refrain from such color but the woman had her toddler in the back. No excuse.
Being man about it, I'll admit a bit of "pot and kettle" guilt on my end, formerly. At least I've learned to tone it down. If I want to be an idiot, I do it on my own time out of traffic. There's no point putting your family and others at risk.

It looks like the captions are wrong. It said the people in the pick up died. The pick ups not damaged that bad. (those things are tuff!) Looking at the skid across the median, the pick up caused it. The tarp over the sports car indicates dead bodies. I think some reporter got his wires crossed.

The young woman in the blue car was at fault. She was doing over 100 mph -- lost control -- went through 3 thick steel cable barriers -- then air born in to the F350 pick up. The passenger in the pick up killed on impact as the driver of the car also.
