This is a shot of a crossing at the Bellows Falls VT line The train GOES UNDER the town as it goes and comes from the station Never been there in winter but was at that crossing Quite a place for rail watching
Used to have a fall fest there
Got a pic of my hand in an empty boxcar tempted to jump on

I used to work out of BF, but never got to know the town at all. Very dramatic tunneling I'd not a clue about. That Amtrak looks to be almost brushing the walls.

We have a place similar to this, right in the middle of the campus of Carnegie Mellon University. One of these mornings I'll have to go down there and catch the Capitol Limited coming out of the tunnel. Edited by - jward on March 22 2022 4:15:10 PM

"A B&M Claim Dept. photo taken in connection with a suit by C.J. Newell." I wonder what the lawsuit was over? New Englanders: constantly dragging each other into court. The B&M blockaded several Maine narrow gauge lines with lawsuits prohibiting them from crossing their mains. Out West, they just shoot each other.
