Multi dipping, got a few hours to enjoy leveling the foundations on some of New Armadilloville and setting up custom painted vehicles by Anderson Paint Shops and some vintage Matchbox and Lesney from RP. Clearances are very tight to accommodate the trolley bus and the train. Still haven't fired anything up yet, seem to be going at this in reverse order.

Of all the Anderson Paint Shop vehicles, it is almost impossible to say which one is a "favorite," as each on is hand crafted in such a way as to lend it a unique personality. This one comes close, as it bears a striking resemblance to "Mike Mulligan and the Steam Shovel."

The Cadillac Ambulance by Matchbox is getting the boot to make way for this custom job by Anderson Paint Shops.

Trying to find a likely spot for this cool cement mixer by Anderson.

McNeal Farms 4x4 needs positioning, too. Note the muddy tires. Anderson Paint Shops is known for an eye for detail.

Another Anderson piece I adore, reminds me so much of "Katy the Big Snow." Eventually, I am going to create a micro snow scene on New Armadilloville for this one piece.

Anderson's T Bird, for now, is face in so as to show off the intricated trunk.

The Anderson Civil Defense Siren, the thing that started it all. Love that accessory.

Fabulous Post-Jurassic piece by Anderson Paint Shops. Meticulous paint work.

Anderson pumpers at the Jade Fog Plant disaster (JF is the intellectual creation and creative property of El Rojo Grande).

This street sweeper looked kind of, well you know, mass produced until Anderson Paint Shops got to it. Now it is unique and charming. I will have to broaden the streets to make room for Trolley Bus clearances.

Meticulous hand painting of the Reverend Peyton's Big Damn band, my favorite group of all time, by Anderson Paint Shops. The concert will go back here.

The Rev is staying at the Siesta. Beautiful black CIA car also by Anderson Paint Shops.

Dozer by Anderson Paint Shops. His meticulous painting turns it from ordinary to extra ordinary. Ben is right, the dump should be better placed off to a corner of the layout, but after trying all four corners, it wouldn't fit. Such is model railroading: compress, compress, and compress.

I've been so much enjoying classic Matchbox and Lesney since I first saw what members were doing on the form. These treasures are from a trade with RP. They make the scene and I love the vintage quality.
You know a piece is truly great, when every time you see it, or rearrange it, it's like falling in love all over again.

| Vintage Matchbox are awesome! I have 33 mint boxed ones. 11 are saved from my childhood! The others I had as a kid but destroyed them!

Thanks for the awesome tribute Chops! I may have one or two more cars for you later in the year. Matchbox has some neat vintage cars coming out.
I've done a few little jobs this week. To start, here's EV MoW's new Bulldozer, X6. This D6 is equipped with a blade for construction of roadbeds and other maintenance of way efforts.

Next up, Anderson Line's smaller shop took on a project from EVPD. A group of EV kids tuned up a car into a real hot rod. A car capable of making EV's current patrol car and truck look like sad old jalopies, and the kids were making that a known fact. Thus EVPD contracted Anderson Shops to soup up a Camero to take care of the situation.

Next up are two for the home team. To start, I fixed the wheels (which snapped off) on a spare scenemaster tractor, then painted it up to look like a John Deere. I am expecting a set of Scenemaster Farm Implements this week, which will be awesome.

Finally, I added a big piece to my small display case city scene. Introducing the new Water Tower for the city of Arlee.

Well don't fall on love too hard, 'cause that's mine.
I'll post some pics later on as to why I painted it up like that. I purchased a few more scenemaster items that will really make that scene perfect.

Nice accessories this week, all. Aaron, the EVRR MOW department will definitely enjoy that bulldozer.
I built the HO-Scale Bachmann Plus 2 Diesel Sand Towers kit on Sunday, and just spray-painted the towers today. Overall, the assembly went smoothly - with the hardest part being gluing each of the little "u" shaped loops on the ladders, but being plastic, liquid cement was perfect for gluing together the parts. I used the same silver spray-paint that I used on the Stewart metal diesel fuel and water columns. Soon, a fully-fledged diesel maintenance facility will be put together in the engine yard of the EVRR 4'x8' mainline.

Ladders look perfect. That kind of tiny, repetitive modeling often escapes me, as I prefer a "broad brush" when it comes to technique.

I've climbed that kind of ladder with the safety cage behind it. It's not very convenient when you have a backpack on.

Looks to me like if you slip and fall, it just gives you a hundred steel pipes to hit on your way down!
Nice models BTW, RP . . . I don't think I could ever get those loops that straight!

Thanks guys! The loops aren't 100% perfect, but I tried my best.
Ouch...that does sound painful in the event of falling off one of the top rungs....
