Hello everyone my name is Alex and I have been collecting Tyco train now for 6 years and have around 20 Tyco KITS still sealed in the boxes and 10 action accesories still sealed and around 100 cars in the boxes and about 18 locomotives. Tyco collecting for me is a nostalgic thing because I grew up in the late 70`s and early 80`s with a fondness of trains. We used to have a department store in WestVirginia called Murphys Mart and around the holidays I remember going in there and seeing a half of an isle full of individual tyco cars and engines with accessories. Another good place to go was Childrens Palace, I rememeber seeing set after set of tyco trains in there, from what I remember Toys R Us mostly carried Life-Like. I hope to maybe liven the group up alittle and share some little knowledge, feel free to ask me questions anytime.I plan to sell some of my collection on ebay soon since its getting closer to xmas and my sets are taking up SO much room. Im gonna sell a new still sealed in the box Chessie Freight , and if anyone is interested check back in a few weeks and ill post a link to it. I also have a US 1 electric trucking set i will be parting with that is like new still in the box...the decals for the signs are still on the sticker paper.

Hi Alex, I am relatively new here too. This has been a great forum as I research and ask questions. I got a wild hair for Tyco recently and won a few things on ebay this week. I grew up in the 60's and 70's with Lionel 027 followed by HO Tyco, AHM, Athearn, MDC, etc. My XMAS wads and odd job money financed trains. I bought alot of it at Woolworths and JC Penny. I collected postwar Lionel throughout the 80's and 90's but that has sort of weened off. Now I want the Tycos I fondly remember as a kid.
