2 Rivarossi docksiders, both in need of work, but both have good motors, and the one runs perfectly fine. $5 for both gives me a good start at having 1 complete docksider for the EVRR, hopefully.

I'm sure I will eventually - in no hurry - and for the price, I couldn't resist.

Ah, so that is the other, rarer, Tyco Crescent Limited Pacific.....wow

I'm a bit late to the party as it is the 20th here (or the 19th in the US) but here's an Australian-themed double dip.

This loco is a Powerline Linkline (made by Frateschi) F3 shell on an Athearn chassis*, which is in poor condition and had a broken pilot (half missing), a missing horn and no steps when I bought it (the slits on the side were my doing, before the Athearn swap it had a scrap Jouef chassis which had the mounting posts there), so I just sawed the rest of the pilot off as I couldn't find any way of replacing everything without spending a small fortune on parts that would have cost more than a replacement shell. The original Powerline chassis and mech was repurposed in a Tyco Shark, upgrading the latter to all wheel drive with a can motor while the PowerTorque mech was eBayed off as spare parts, since I could never get it to work nicely.

* This is the same Athearn chassis I made post about a few years ago, which has a weak magnet and can barely haul 3 freight cars without slowing down to a crawl, overheating and/or tripping the bi-metal strip in the controller - I still haven't got around to fixing or replacing the motor so it's an unpowered dummy for now. I really wanted to use the original 5-pole motor and convert it to use a few 5mm neo magnets but had no idea how to make an oval-shaped plastic mount to fit in place of the old magnet so the project was put on hold.

The F3 is masquerading as a GM class (https://vicsig.net/photo/5927), which is basically a six axle F3/F7 etc. (not an E-unit) rather than having four axles (early versions were A1A-A1A, later versions were Co-Co). Artistic license was used, much like the Tyco New South Wales "4015" loco (which is meant to be a 42 class, thus would have been numbered in the 4200 range) and the nearly-identical Tyco Victorian Railways S class "S301". The GM, 42 and S class all have six axles and are almost identical in design.

The second loco is a Life-Like GP38-2 masquerading as who knows what - Australia never had Geeps of any sort, the closest hood unit ANR had in the green and gold livery was probably the CK class (https://vicsig.net/photo/7395) which is shorter than a GP38-2, or maybe even an 830 class (https://vicsig.net/photo/7404), which is actually a 6-axle Alco. Unfortunately I broke off one of the horns when it was only a week old, it caught the edge of my sleeve when I was re-railing freight cars on the track next to it (yes, the Geep was moving).

Very nice Aussie HO diesels there! I do have to say, that GP38-2 looks good in the green and yellow scheme.....

Whoa, Nelly! Nice Down Under pieces!! You are not too late, the thread is open for the week. Really cool to
see these unique pieces from the continent of Australia. We want to see more!

Heihachi_73 for your F3 have you thought of a snowplow?
Australia does not seem to get much snow except in certain areas but it may come in handy.
Below are some of the cheapies, it's an easy conversion. Did it to my tyco MDT diesel.
