I hear those are valuable as they speak to the Coca Cola collector as well as the Tyco man. I got one boxed. Doesn't speak to me. Goes to FeeBay today.

Tyco NH obs. Gift of RP.

Here's the one I have now. I have had this one several years. But I don't share. Why, because he wants everything and esp the hard to find rare and expensive pieces!

I had seen one of these Sohio in eBay for $49.99 last week. It received no bids. At our last trains shows, I had seen one as well for $50.
Oh to be like Walt and me who bought these way back in the 70s for $2.99 or so!
PS: I know the eBay seller and he confided he bought the Sohio for $3!!!!!!! It was found in a junk box under the table at a train show. The seller had no idea it is highly sought after. So keep your eyes peeled Buss. Like all other train cars they show up from time from people who don't know what's collectible- sort of like the opposite with all the green B&N pluggers that are sold with "rare" "vintage" and all the other selling buzzwords.

This tanker has not been selling cheap now for quite a while, as most of the more sought after Tyco pieces. I have noticed seller putting crazy starting bids or buy it now prices on these pieces...

In 1974 dollars, 2.99 would be about $16.50 today. That was a hefty price for one tank car. For me, that would have been quite a few neighborhood lawns.

Mowing lawns and shoveling snow here in Ohio is how I was able to get my trian hobby pieces. Thinking back, I done pretty well.

Yes, a nice undamaged one is well liked. On rarer pieces, I only want very nice condition pieces There's a bunch of them, The Bubble Yum pieces has brought higher prices than I have ever seen since 1999 when I found ebay. The cooler piggybacks are doing the same. They are greatly overpricing the Tyco lighted poles and signs but they aren't selling!
