Tyco's Delaware & Hudson RR Alco "Super" C630, a $5 train store find, runs after some contact wheel cleaning and lube.

Ah, I figured. I was thinking it was either them or BNSF.

Uncle Pete is pretty particular about trademarks, as a company, but I don't think that the mere presence of speed lettering is enough to violate a trademark. I do know that you need permission to make a model in their paint scheme and lettering. I expect that the same would be true of the trademarks of fallen flags assimilated into the Yellow Borg. At one time they wanted to charge a license fee, but MTH dissuaded them from doing that in some sort of lawsuit that benefitted everyone and not just MTH.
The UP was doing this in the name of good will or public relations. Personally, I think it was poor P.R. for a billion dollar behemoth to be exacting a few bucks of tribute from some little company that was, in fact, giving them free advertising. Maybe with MTH's help, they've figured that out, too.

Bachmann Mogul, that I settled on new, rather than taking my chances on used. Didn't pay too much for it, and during the break in it runs quietly and smoothly, but the tender does not like reverse and derails a bit.
