Just found this forum while off from work for a snow day. Lots of great information on here, so thought I would join. Just found my love of model railroading again this year after a long absence. Been slot car drag racing and building model cars for the last 12 years or so, having burned out on trains for a while. But after seeing a video of Cass Scenic Railroad Climax #9 finally running after a looonnnng restoration, I was full blown back into trains. My main interest is logging railroads, with a love of the Reading Railroad and C&O steam a close second. My dad got me into model railroading at an early age, maybe 6 or 7, as he was big into trains also. I used to belong to the Miniature Railroad Club of York before I got burned out. I don't currently have a layout of my own, but plan on having a logging layout in the future.
This forum reminds me of my early days in model railroading when all I could afford was TYCO, Bachmann, and other inexpensive models, before graduating to more sophisticated models, even scratch building.

Love those logging locomotives. Bring it on. Also a number of guys
here that run the slots, too. I'm more of a trolley bus guy!
