My COTW is this rare Krispy Kreme box car. Forum Member Brian said there was only 50 produced! I removed it carefully from it's box last night for photos. I don't think the box had ever been opened. The box is Krisp and new. The box car is the same. Can't believe I found one of these after wanting one for 10 years.

My COTW offering is the Tyco SOO Line 62' box car, which I got in a recent trade with Aaron. I now have both versions of the Tyco 62' box car = UP and SOO.

Chops, I just happened to search for it on Ebay a week ago and there it was. It was really late night and I was just getting ready to shut down when I thought about it! They had a "make offer" on it which I did. Then thought, I better grab this thing while I can, so I used Buy It Now.....

Custom painted box car I got for a buck in a junk shop a while back. An internet search turns up the Paducah and Louisville Railroad, but I am unable to find any images of rolling stock in its roster, as yet.

The Paducah and Louisville Railroad's reporting marks are PAL, not PLX. PLX would be a reporting mark from an owner that's not a common carrier. I've found a few lists of reporting marks around online, but none listed a PLX. I'm thinking it's a freelance modeler's fictional mark.
There's a line of text on the lower right hand corner of the car: "Refreshing as the land of sky blue waters." This suggests a partly repainted Hamm's billboard car.

I wondered what car that was originally. The North American logo shows up from time to time on Athearn cars, so I figured it was a repaint and you nailed it.
