Undoubtedly, many of you have read how I fell down the slippery slope, fell for the temptation to buy foreign HO-Scale trains, and due to my lack of knowledge, picked up a large lot of old Marklin HO-Scale trains. I then discovered that Marklin locomotives run on AC power rather than DC, and rely on 3rd-rail track for pickup. And, the cars have metal wheels and a metal underframe that conducts electricity on regular DC track, rendering all ineffective for my purposes. They are now all available, for trade or sale to any of you who are interested in one item or the entire lot - as I'd prefer these trains go to a collector first than just listing them on Ebay to the highest bidder. I know very little about Marklin HO trains, but enough to say that these are in good shape, with the exception of the 6 all-metal stock cars, with roofs that truly need to be repainted.
The DB E03 (Class 103) Marklin locomotive is obviously a typical Marklin AC 3rd-rail locomotive, and is in good cosmetic condition. Please inspect all photos. If you are interested in anything here or would like see more photos, please PM me. Thanks.

You got some nice stuff there, is it going to eBay? I always see Marklin going at a premium because it is so well made. A question, the wagons, are they suitable for AC track only, like the locomotive?

Eventually, yeah. And yes, all of the cars have metal wheels and metal underframes which when you try to run them on DC track, they act like conductors and pull juice away from the locomotive.
Busss, let me know once you have made up your mind.
