Had a few hours free, trying to catch up some projects.

The CP SD9, or something. The stripes are not perfect, the paint is so-so.
If I want to try again it will be necessary to strip the whole thing down.
Jury is still out on that. Needs numbers. Found air horns in my junk box
for this and six other units missing airhorns.

Trying to get my Hooker caboose together. Missing some parts, trying to
put on some end rails and brake wheels. All I have to work with is this
slow setting clear Gorilla Glue. That or some ultra slow setting epoxy.

Working on the couplers for this Hooker Chemical set I recently got.
Most of the stock has Kadees, which normally I don't mess with, too much
work and I got enough to take care of as it is. Since I have three other
Hooker chem cars, with horn hooks, I am changing one coupler on two cars
to adapt to the horn hooks. Talk about lazy!!

The Hooker locomotive had the motor out of the chassis and missing the
connector and a sideframe. Reached into the junk box and on the first
try pulled out a suitable Athearn side frame that popped right in. The
insulated motor mount was missing a few of its pegs, so that got put
in with epoxy, and a couple wires to connect up the pickups. Runs fine!

Ah yes, the Shark Canadiana! It was the deuce to extract the shell, which
had been superglued onto the chassis, but I did it without ruining it.
Then it was to go onto a heavy Model Power fly wheeled chassis, but that
required getting out my dull hack saw and trimming about a 1/4 inch of
the chassis so it would fit. Then I had to go back inside the shell and gently
saw out these vertical ribs molded in by the Tyco people so it would
fit laterally over the MP chassis.

But NO! I couldn't find where I left the MP chassis!!! Spent 45 minutes
hunting for it, no dice, so found a working AHM F unit chassis, needed a
cleaning and traction tires, not a superb running chassis, AHM rarely was,
but I needed to make all kinds of cuts to the plastic chassis to get it to fit.
That's when I found the MP chassis! In a @#$%@# shopping bag I had
carelessly set aside.

Mannnnnn, I need to get organized one of these days.

Got a pile of packages to be sent tomorrow from the Chopomania Sale.
Yeah, Chops got chopped alright. I put everything in at 99 cents starting
bid, and very few items went for more than two or three dollars. One stock
car went for fifty cents. I threw in the other two stock cars just so I didn't
have to trip over them. The surprise item that went from 99 cents to 36 dollars
was an unboxed piece of LIfe Like slot car track with a railroad crossing. It was
a gift from about ten years ago, and in order to use it I'd have to build the
layout around it and only use LL slot car track. So that one piece made almost
half the revenue!

I'm going to have to run another Chopomania sale, I have a few bits I
didn't see while gathering the first pile, like tank cars. I got more dang
tank cars than Carter has liver pills, one piece of tinplate, a three rail
Hornby passenger coach with a dent in the roof, and maybe a few
other bodkins I am tired of tripping over. What will all this largess
go to? More Tyco, of course. Started with my BOTW offering this week.

Had one buyer asking why I wasn't offering free shipping, had to not
go off bent on that one.

After all is said and done, usually more said than done, I am clearing about
$100 after about $100 in shipping costs.

Very nice work Jeff. I know that it is difficult to get a great paint scheme.
But that is one of the fun and not so fun activities of model trains.
