With that info in mind, spray the cars with some dullcote or gloss to prevent any possible wear.

By that, I meant that, especially when played with, the lettering can wear off, as the paint is over 50+ years old.
But, when you pick up every Tyco item as if it is a precious gem...yeah.... They'll be fine.
