Again, being unable to repair the bus, I turned my attention to what I could fix. This wonderful Aerotrain, a gift from WKS, was giving me a lot of headaches of late as the British couplers were binding on curves causing derailments galore. Oddly, they had worked fine for a while, then just started jamming up on curves and laterally shoving things off the rails.
The Aerotrain, a Varney product, came to me as an empty shell. With a little good advice from Toptrain, I was able to power it up. It took a bit of trial and error until I found that using single axle bogies from a spare OO British piece would get the trailers to track right.
So I used a cheap little chrome chain for costume jewelery and looped and soldered it around the buffer bars, removing the hooks. Now it corners fine and is back to running beautifully.

That is a great scene, Frank. Your "Dawn of HO" collection has to be one of the best.
