I have often though that being a motorman on those lines could not be such a hard way to make a living. The views are beautiful. The trains are enormous, by US standards, at least.
The coaches look clean and inviting.

Some guys like cars, but I'll take a subway anyday. Great pics, video. What ever driver holds a bid on that route...must be like a free pass to enjoying some of the best NJ has to offer.

Very different views of NJ than I would expect. Not familiar with much of the state, but did travel through there a number of occasions without ever getting much of a sense of the place. Typical media references are that NJ is overly taxed and generally upside down, financially, but this does not look like a place that is struggling.
Trains seem to rule. It would appear that a concerted effort is made to preserve existing historical structures, railroad and not, as well as well maintained track and rolling stock that appear quite clean and modern.
