I need a cab for my Bachmann 0-6-0 Saddle tank. This was the earlier version of the spectrum Saddle tank from 1972. It was also Bachmanns first steam locomotive offering. Willing to buy.

That is not the first 0-6-0t labeled Bachmann. Here are three of them. They also were imported and sold by AHM in different road names. The odd thing about the latter one you show and this one is the drive is interchangeable with the old one.

That is correct. They are both technically the first offering, because as you said, they share the same chassis.

And more history. Kader made the models and AHM also marketed the model as well. Quite a good runner.

Mine's not. Remotoring and reworking the pickups on mine. Giving it a whole makeover. But I can't do it without the darned cab!

The restoration on my 0-6-0 is almost complete, still need the cab,,, any idea of something similar that could work?

Bachmann has the cab parts I need for the spectrum 0-6-0; but once it's all added up, I could buy a new spectrum 0-6-0 with the money it would cost!
