Photos of a New Jersey club with origins in New York.

I took these photos about four years ago and some recently. They had an open house today but cancelled due to the virus.

They have two layouts at the club. One in HO and the other in O. They are located in Carlstadt New Jersey near the football stadium.
More photos from my trip there a few years ago.

More to come.

Crimeys, that is some deal. I was cleaning some track today on a small 4x8. I wonder what they have to go through to make it right? Noted: the passenger coaches have diaphragms. That is no easy trick. They got some mix and match with the eras going on. Still, everything quite amazing.

Their O scale layout is virtually complete with some additional scenery to add. Their HO scale layout is still being worked on with various small changes over time.
Still a lot of scenery and buildings are on the HO layout. Cleaning can be tedious but they have a dedicated crew.
I would have gone today after work but read that they closed due to the virus scares. Minimum of three weeks before they get the approval to accept visitors.
They have some night sessions for those who live nearby. I will post information later. More photos meanwhile.

They will still be there when the hysteria disappears.

About the New York Society of Model Engineers open house. Your 1950 video would be a classic for it was made in the Lackawanna Hoboken Terminal, when the layout was their. It would be nice if you could somehow post it here. The clubs spring train showing is this month. It was yesterday and today and the following 2 weekends sat and sundays. The six dates are 3-14, and 15, 2020, 3- 21, and 22, 2020, and 3-28, and 29, 2020. frank

It is a one minute short on a VHS tape It is POSSSIBLE SOMEONE has it on you tube now
I personally would like to see this ad that I last saw least in 1970 Model rains were shown either HO or American Flyer two rail track but I am PRETTY sure it was an ad for insurance as opposed to the models
At one point a steam engine freight with a diesel freight are about to collide then last minute still stands out

2-16-11
Power waiting on the HO scale layout, to procede back down to the main yard to pick up it consist. Actuall the locos have just completed breaking up a freight train by releasing each one, or in groups if going to the same track, at a time to roll down hill over the hump and down into the clasifaction yard on thacks where trains are being made up to be sent to other destinations for other purposes. These locomotives will now either back up and slip past and reenter the recieving yard to pick up another consis that has newly arrived and needs to be broken up and reclasified in the larger hump yard.

Nice photos Frank. I see they are from a decade ago. Still seems the same as today. They have worked on their HO layout recently.
Someone's recent video of their O scale layout.
