Here's my SOTW offering:
Turns out I actually have 3 powered Tyco Spirit of '76 F9 A-units - the top one needs some cosmetic repair.

Some really cool sets popping up here this week. Especially like that Tyco Aerotrain. Does that run on a PT or MU motor? Does it track well enough? Never knew that it came in that yellow. That also appears to be the sleeper on a semi, if I am not mistaken, had some familiarity with those living quarters back in the day.
A trifecta of A units in '76 colors, nice!
Anyhows, my "set" consists of three awesome Tyco NH coaches gifted by the Shark Master and a NH shell, from WKS, of a rather unique, to my eyes, F unit that I was able to slip onto a spare powered chassis with good effect. Having a lot of fun with this set.

It's a MU2. They came out in the 50's. It's screwed together, not riveted. Should track good. The wheels are like casters.

The landscape is towering and impressive, in current status looks like a Utah canyon.

I have an old Tyco/Mantua sharknose with a screw-on MU-2. Have you tried cleaning out the gear box of any dried up old grease? That's what I did to get it running at the very least much better.
