Found one needing some TLC at the haunt this weekend. Fixed it up, and here you go. A presentation about how it works, with a minute or so of the culprit in action.
Amazing what they could do WITHOUT dcc and block wiring...

| GREAT-GIC!!! i have one also mint in box. What is even more amazing is that the base for the crossing just happens to match up perfectly with todays roadbed track systems that were not available for time period when this item was manufactured.

Thats a pretty nice video demo on the crossing Tony. So the new " E-Z Track " offered by Bachmann and Life-like works just fine with these Tyco accessories without any modification?

You do need to break the locking prongs off the adjoining pieces of EZ-track, but that's easy to do and EZ-track is plentiful (plus it can still be used, just those two pieces won't lock together anymore).
The thickness of the crossing, is about 1/8" too short. You can stil use it that way but it may try to settle. You can see the left edge of mine, the track actually lifted a little, but it could have already been that way when I got it. A few pieces of folded paper under there would raise it up perfectly.
So yeah, you really don't need to do much to have this perfectly meld into a modern EZ-track system!

Excellent Demo!
That is an awesome TYCO action accessory. I got my first example years ago when my younger brother was staying with me for the summer. He was the typical up all night playing video games teenager and would sleep until 1 or 2 in the afternoon...anyway the mail came early that day and I set up this baby in the next room not thinking. After about 30 minutes of playing with it and not realizing how annoying the dinging bell might be to someone sleeping...my brother came out to inquire what was going on...well it was a bit more graphic a request than I've presented here!

I just bought one in a box lot today at a farmer's market in PA. I don't have it in working order yet but it is all there. I'm going to study your video again. It's listed in a Tyco catalog dated 1980. The directions say "if your set has a nite glow sheet follow the diagram above and apply to shaded area" being the dotted lines and the RR. I also got a 900 operating crane loader and the 903 piggyback loader/unloader.

Sure beats the hell out of that "trigger track" I bought years ago. Never could get the stupid things to work right and was constantly adjusting the set screws.
