I recently found that i have an HO scale TYCO electric train that has Sante Fe 7 Disneyland on the sides. It looks very much like the Anhiser Bush Promotional train shown on the web site. Same engine but with Sante Fe Disneyland on the tender. It has 5 other cars. A water car, a horse car, a combo car and two coach cars. They all say Sante Fe & Disneyland on them. They DO NOT say Disneyland RR which leads me to think this may not have been an official Disney Item. All are in need of some repaire as far as trucks or cuplers. The engine is missing the front cap for the boiler and the smoke stack. I do not now if it runs and have no way to test. I had inherited quite a few trains a couple years ago and was going through a box of stuff when i found this one. I remember he had it on a window sill and it was covered in thick dust.. My question is does anyone knw anything about this? I have spent two days searching on the internet and found nothing. I thank you for your help--DH

Dave: Welcome to the Forum, fellow Tyconaut. Your set is, indeed, the Sante Fe and Disneyland set from Tyco's "red box" era, specifically (from 1966-7) either T6611 "The Disneylander", water car, horse car, two coaches and combine; or T6626 " The Disneyland Special," same set with Tyco Pak. Offered again in 1967-8 as "The Disneylander," the set was equipped the same. Original price was $34.98, price in '68, the final year it was offered, was $40. In the interest of spiffing up the old "E.S. Marsh" engine from your set, might I suggest locating (either at a train show, hobby shop second-hand outlet or on-line auction) one of the other, extremely common incarnations of this 1890s Tyco steamer. The ATSF and WARR versions show up in various conditions with some regularity and you could cannibalize the boiler front and stack from same. Your Disneylander is a very prized and sought-after Tyco set. for what its worth... Magnolia Academy
