I tried a few experiments: using intermittent stills to give movement to otherwise static props. Tried fitting in the Pathe logo, as was practice for a lot of mini-docs from an earlier age of cinema, but it got lost in the mix and impossible to re-edit without erasing the entire project. Better luck next time.
The LNM is a gift, spot on, from Micro Busss, as is one of the double deckers and the gorgeous Pacific and coach rake a trade with Catford Ken.
The theme was inspired by a vintage film regarding New York Central traffic protocols.

A nice video and some very nice trains.
I particularly like the Trix/Lilliput AH Peppercorn and the Playcraft Mineral wagon!
Very British indeed!

Has to be said Chops that up until the 1970s it is easy to tell Trix from Dublo, Playcraft from Tri-ang etc etc.
The reason was that each range oozed character from every pore.
Then in the late 1970s and 80s, Airfix and Mainline entered the field and this brought about changes to models made by Hornby and eventually the arrival of Bachmann to the UK market. The quality of the trains improved to the extent that there was increased accuracy in size, shape and colour. SO much so that you can mix coaches by any modern make and they look right together.
The modellers think this is great. I am not a modeller. I lost interest in contemporary model rails in the late 1970s!
Give me Playcraft, Trix, Tri-ang or Dublo any day.
