With the loss of both the Mantua kit and the Helix Humper(Allentown/Alliance) kits. Has anybody found another option other than refreshing the open frame motor? I have tried that, and while it helps, I still like the results of a skewed armature can motor better. For one, the slow speed running is more stable without any throttle changes. I can let a model run around a display layout without constant attention to the throttle to keep it moving. If you have one of these motor kits. I would be open to buying it. I have plans for atleast 3 of the old timers that will need the upgrade, and my wife's Chessie Pacific needs it. Mike
Still NT's, I have Aspergers.

Sounds fascinating. I believe Catford Ken has at least one remotored
American Type, and it runs like a Swiss Watch, a thing of real beauty.
