Those various books did get us interested in the wonderful world of trains.
Television shows such as Petticoat Junction and the Iron Horse did as well .
At least those of us who are over 50 years old.

I had this book as a child. It details a cab ride on the NYC up the Hudson Valley in the cab of an E7.

still looking for the one I can't remember the title too

but the kid is riding his bicycle down the hallway & suddenly theres a train zooming down the halllway
dad & sis having a adventure aboard the train
Mom come home from the store & yells "who has been running a train in my house!?"
"get this messy locomotive out of my living room!! Pointing to a model train

Anyway a couple I have

Tommy plays with a Lionel train

in the book Tommy can make the headlight go on & off
Wasn't that impossible?

theses are called Puppet Books & used HO trains
Made in Japan


Choo Choo & The Caboose Who Got Loose I DO want!

I remember another with anthro trains & the steam engines welcome a stuck up diesel
he gets hooked to a train & tries to go bump the caboose!
which is his own train!
