As much as I enjoy goofing off making satires about model trains,
I occasionally try to do something half serious. Not sure that I

You should be able to find an Athearn U28B, U30B or U33B at a train show for cheap. You will probably have to do minor modifications to the Bachmann shell to get it to fit but in the end it would probably run as well as if not better than the original unit.

nor did I find anything on my list
but I did find that 1 church by Faller with the skylights that are crosses
