It is a fascination how this locomotive served under so many flags for so long. I got to
see one of the last, under a patch for Conrail in about 1976, at speed, on the
mainline outside of NYC, pulling an assemblage of box cars.

Here's my LOTW Offering:

Tyco early "Brown Box Era" GP20.....I assembled this engine from 3 derelict Tyco GP20's sitting in my train parts cart. Despite the shell having a few broken parts, the motor works. Ultimately, this is a restoration project, so a better shell will be sought in the future. For now, it's nice to have another Tyco locomotive working once more.

Looks like NOS (New Old Stock) RP. Part of your sentence
got cut off- what are you missing? I'll look for a spare.

Cosmetic issues, Chops....the corner on one of the steps is broken off, and from removing and re-installing handrails, a piece of plastic snapped off beneath one of the stanchions. A shell without these flaws is being sought.

2 weeks ago i got a Aristo-Craft 4-6-0 #157 in good shape. It came without a tender. The number when I search info is for a B&O engine. I do have a B&O tender of the type used with the 4-4-2 loco But it is lettered in Gold the loco 157 is white. Here is how they look together.

Another nice piece from the early days of HO, Frank. What might you
date that to?

RP: I got a GP 20 shell, and will send it out to you, gratis. Maybe you
can gently saw off one of the steps to add onto the UP unit. I know
you like to have your collection spit polished, but this might help to
rectify it.
